Dr. Ebony Cole is an author, educator, speaker and an entrepreneur. Her personal philosophy on life is “Don’t limit yourself based on the opinions and expectations of others. You already have everything you need to be anything you want to be.” She believes that her life’s purpose is inextricably tied to her tumultuous past. “God gives his toughest tasks to his strongest soldiers. He knew that I would not only survive and thrive, but that I would reach back and help those who were not as strong.”

Knowing that no matter what obstacles she faced, no one could take her educational achievements away from her, Ebony continues to strive for academic excellence. Armed with the knowledge that education was her ticket out of poverty, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The Ohio State University. She holds a Master of Education from Wright State University and recently earned a Doctorate in Education from Franklin University.

Believing in the power of owning your truth and telling your story, her memoir, Wishing for Pancakes: Vol. 1, takes the reader on an emotional journey. We see a young Ebony and her sister Teneshia navigate life facing abuse, drug addicted and incarcerated parents, teen pregnancy and so much more.

​

Her mission is to help as many people as possible to discover their own purpose and to walk in that purpose daily. She accomplishes this by speaking on topics such as College Readiness for Black Students, Diversity Equity and Inclusion Strategies for Effective Leadership, and Finding Your F.L.O.W: Strategies for Walking in Your Purpose.

In addition to her public speaking, she hosts in-person and online workshops aimed at helping those who struggle with telling their own stories through her Write Time Bootcamp. Budding authors gain access to the process and resources used to create Wishing for Pancakes: Vol. 1 and her eBook From Orientation to Graduation: The Book I Wish I had Before I Went to College.

Ebony currently lives and works in Cleveland, Ohio. She enjoys reading and traveling in her spare time. Her goals are to see more of the world, meet more people and have amazing new experiences.
